What it costs

⃂ 950.00 Per booking

Nothing is paid on this website.

The figure on the booking form is the call charge, and it covers the tradesman coming to you and the first hour of work. It is paid at the end of the visit, in cash or by transfer, against a numbered docket that lists what was done.

If the job turns out to need parts or more than an hour, the tradesman writes you a figure on the spot before buying anything or going any further. You are free to say no, pay the call charge and keep the written figure, and plenty of people do exactly that and get a second opinion.

Where a job is quoted and accepted, the call charge already paid comes off the quotation. You never pay twice for the same hour.

Parts are charged at what we paid for them and the receipt is stapled to your docket. We do not mark parts up, because a trade that marks up parts is a trade with a reason to fit the dearer one.

Fitting rather than fixing. A new water heater, a replacement, or a booster pump for a flat at the top of a building where the shower has given up.

Three hours and two people, because it is a plumbing job and an electrical job at the same time and doing it with one of each is how a heater ends up on a socket that cannot carry it. Nine hundred and fifty for the labour; the heater or pump is either supplied by you or quoted separately at what it costs us.

A booster pump serving more than your own flat is not something we will fit without written permission from the building, however reasonable the request. Say on the form whether the tank is on the roof or under the stairs, because it changes everything about the day.
