Welding carries two years and roofing work carries one, both against our own workmanship, and both mean somebody comes back and looks for nothing.
Neither covers a structure that was already failing, and this is where we are more careful than most. Where we can see that a purlin is rotten, a post is rusted through below the concrete or a wall is moving, we photograph it, write it on the quotation and ask you to sign that you have read it before we start.
That has led to three roofs in four years where we declined the work entirely. All three were replaced within eighteen months, and in two of them the owner had a quotation from somebody else for exactly the patching we had refused to do.
