What it costs

Nothing is paid on this website. You pay at the bench when the bike is done, in cash or by transfer to the number on the board.

The price you see on the booking form is the price on the board and the price you will be asked for. There is no charge for a bay, no charge for water and no charge for the polish we use. A bike that turns out to need more than the slot allows is quoted before we carry on, and you can say no and pay for what has been done.

Every visit earns a punch on a card we keep here under your registration number, so a lost card is not a lost punch. Ten punches on the same bike is a free wash and dry with chain clean, and the eleventh visit is where you spend it.

We do not take a deposit and we do not ask for a card number anywhere. If somebody telephones you claiming to be us and asks for either, it is not us.

Booked by people about to sell, and by the two dealers on the industrial road. An hour, and the work is chosen for what a buyer notices rather than for what is dirty.

So: the wheels and the engine cases, because a grimy engine reads as neglect; the plastics and the lights, because dull plastic photographs badly; the chain, because every buyer who knows anything looks at the chain first; and the seat and the grips, because those are what a buyer touches.

Three hundred, one punch, and we will roll it out to the white wall at the front for your photographs at no charge. Bring the papers with you and keep them in your hand.
