Nothing is paid on this website. You pay at the bench when the bike is done, in cash or by transfer to the number on the board.

The price you see on the booking form is the price on the board and the price you will be asked for. There is no charge for a bay, no charge for water and no charge for the polish we use. A bike that turns out to need more than the slot allows is quoted before we carry on, and you can say no and pay for what has been done.

Every visit earns a punch on a card we keep here under your registration number, so a lost card is not a lost punch. Ten punches on the same bike is a free wash and dry with chain clean, and the eleventh visit is where you spend it.

We do not take a deposit and we do not ask for a card number anywhere. If somebody telephones you claiming to be us and asks for either, it is not us.

Everything in the quick wash, then the part that actually makes a bike last on this island: the chain off with degreaser, brushed on all four sides, rinsed, dried and lubricated while it is still warm.

Salt air eats a chain faster than mileage does, and a chain cleaned once a month runs three times as long as one that is only ever sprayed over the top of old grease. We will show you the brush and the rag afterwards if you want to see what came off.

Thirty minutes, a hundred and twenty, one punch. This is the visit the punch card was designed around and it is what a full card buys you back.
