FE Fenvaru Bike Wash Four bays on Hulhumale for scooters and motorcycles, booked by the quarter hour

Washing that does not push water where it should not go

Distance, angle and a mitt instead of a brush.

A pressure washer is the fastest way to clean a bike and the fastest way to ruin one. Held close to a wheel bearing, a switch housing or a chain, it drives water and grit past seals that were never designed for it.

So the lance never comes closer than a hand span, never points up into the underside of the engine, and never goes near a bearing, a cable end or an electrical housing. Those are done by hand with a mitt and a bucket.

It takes longer and it is why a quick wash here is fifteen minutes rather than five. The bikes that come back to us monthly are the ones whose owners noticed their switches stopped sticking.
