Sixty gift boxes, six pieces in each, for staff to take home the day before Eid.
The interesting part of this order was the timing. The office asked in the first week of Ramadan, which is the only reason it could be said yes to. Three hundred and sixty individual pieces cannot be made in the last week of Ramadan by a kitchen that is also making the cakes it already promised, and every year we turn down four or five of these because somebody asked too late.
Six kinds, none of them needing refrigeration, because a gift box that has to go straight into a fridge is a gift box that gets left on a desk. Boxed and ribboned over two days, with the office name on a printed card rather than piped.
Delivered at nine in the morning, invoiced with GST against their purchase order, and paid in eleven days.
