SA Saafu Care House and office cleaning in Male and Hulhumale, by the same team every week
About us

Fourteen people, and a list for every place we clean

We are not an agency. Everybody who comes into your home is on our books and has been with us for at least a month before they work alone.

Seven years of the same two ideas

Saafu Care started in 2019 with three people cleaning four flats in Male. Two ideas have not changed since.

The first is that the team stays with the place. A cleaner who has been in your kitchen forty times works faster, breaks less and notices the things you would otherwise have to point out. Rotating staff to fill a rota is easier to manage and it is worse for everybody, so we do not do it.

The second is that the work is written down. Every property has a printed checklist made on the first visit and revised whenever you ask. It is signed and left behind after each clean. That one sheet of paper has settled every disagreement we have ever had with a customer, usually in about a minute, and most of the time it settles them in the customer's favour.

We now look after about ninety properties a week across Male and Hulhumale with fourteen people. We have turned down work in months when we could not have staffed it properly.

Who you will deal with

The people who run the teams

FS

Fathimath Sirufa

Operations manager

Started the company in 2019 with three people and four flats. Writes the checklist for every new property herself, on the first visit.

AZ

Aminath Zeena

Team leader, homes

Looks after the weekly home rounds in Male and trains everybody who joins. Nobody works alone in a customer's home until she says so.

HR

Hussain Riyaz

Team leader, offices and deep cleans

Runs the evening office rounds and every deep clean. Owns the extraction machines and will tell you honestly when a sofa is beyond saving.

In your home

Keys, trust and what we will not touch

Who exactly comes into my house?

The same two people every visit, both on our own books rather than from an agency, and both of whom have worked with a team leader for at least a month before working alone.

We tell you in advance when somebody is on leave and who is coming instead. You are never surprised at the door.

Can you hold a key?

Yes, and a great many of our customers prefer it. Keys are numbered, never labelled with an address or a name, kept in a locked box at the office and signed in and out each day.

If you would rather not, we are happy to work around whoever is at home.

What will you not touch?

Anything you tell us not to, and it goes on the list so nobody has to remember it.

By default we do not move paperwork, we do not open drawers or cupboards that are shut unless the list says to clean inside them, and we do not handle anything that looks valuable or fragile. If something needs moving to clean behind it, we ask first.

Try one visit

No contract for the first clean. If the team is not right for you, say so and nothing more happens.
