What it costs
350.00 Per booking
Lessons are paid for in blocks of five at the office, or one at a time in cash at the start of the hour, whichever suits you. A block of five is cheaper than five singles and it does not expire.
A theory class seat is paid at the door on the night. Bring the exact amount if you can, because the classroom has no card machine.
A full hour of driving, not fifty minutes with ten spent finding each other. You pick the instructor and the hour, and the confirmation email gives you the meeting point and the registration of the car.
The first lesson is mostly the car park behind the ferry terminal: mirrors, seat, clutch and stopping, and about twenty minutes of moving. Nobody is taken onto Hiyaleege Hingun in their first hour and anybody who offers to is selling you a fright rather than a lesson.
Every lesson ends with two or three minutes of the instructor writing on your record what you did and what to work on next. That record is what we read from when you ask whether you are ready for the test, and it is the reason we can give you an honest answer rather than a flattering one.
Cars are dual control and the instructor's pedals are used, sometimes without warning. That is what they are for.
