What it costs

Lessons are paid for in blocks of five at the office, or one at a time in cash at the start of the hour, whichever suits you. A block of five is cheaper than five singles and it does not expire.
A theory class seat is paid at the door on the night. Bring the exact amount if you can, because the classroom has no card machine.
Forty five minutes on a hundred and ten cc automatic cycle, and these are booked in the early morning on purpose. Between seven and nine the roads in Phase One are as empty as they ever get, and a first time rider needs empty roads more than they need a convenient hour.
Helmet is provided and is not optional, for you or for the instructor. Wear shoes that cover your feet and clothes that cover your arms and legs, and not because anybody is being strict about appearance: a fall at fifteen kilometres an hour takes skin off.
The first session is the yard beside the office: balance, the throttle, the brakes and slow turns between cones. Most people are on the road in their second or third session and some take five, which is not a problem and is not worth being embarrassed about.
