What it costs

The fee for the appointment you book here is paid at the desk when you arrive, in cash or by transfer, and you are given a numbered receipt. If we cannot help you, the appointment is not charged and we say so in the first ten minutes rather than at the end of the hour.
Government fees are a separate matter and we never handle them for you. Every fee is paid by the employer or the worker directly, into the government account, from a bank account in their own name. We tell you the amount, the account and the reference, and we look at the receipt with you afterwards.
Work on a file is quoted in writing before it starts, as a fixed figure for a named outcome, never as an hourly rate with no end. On a fixed quotation we ask for half before we begin and half when the permit or visa is in your hand.
For a company registering as an employer, or one that has a quota and cannot work out why it cannot use it. An hour, at a table, with your registration papers and your current staff list.
We go through what your quota actually allows by job category, what is already consumed, what lapses and when, and what has to happen before the next hire. Then we write the sequence down in order, because the order matters and doing step four first wastes a month.
Most useful before you advertise a job rather than after you have promised one. Roughly a third of the companies who come to us in a hurry have already made an offer they cannot legally fill this quarter.
