Harbour works, stage three: dates, the closures and the one thing we have asked for
The quay wall and ramp begin in March and run about five months. Three weeks of it close the south point approach, and that is the fortnight the growers will feel.
Water from the first of February: standpipe hours and no irrigation
Six until nine and four until seven. Irrigation from the standpipes stops, the plot tanks and the two east wells carry the plots, and the delivery request goes in early this year.
Compost goes back to the plots this month, and two bays nobody has turned
Trailer loads free to any plot on the register, by the list at the office. And an honest note about the two bays we cannot keep up with.
