What you book here is a time when somebody will be at your door. The rider carries a scale and a printed price list. Your bag is weighed and the items counted in front of you, and you are handed a docket with the figure on it before it leaves the building.
Pay the rider on delivery, in cash or by transfer to the account printed on the docket. Households on the weekly bundle are invoiced once a month instead, on the first working day, and settle inside seven days.
The only figure that can change after the docket is written is one we telephone you about first: a stain that needs a second treatment, or a load that turns out to be curtains rather than clothes. You can always say no and take the bag back unwashed at no charge.
Book this at the same time as the collection and the round already knows where it is going. Folded in a paper bag, hung on a rail if it was ironed, and the docket stapled to the outside so you can check the count at the door.
Evening windows fill first, which is why they are bookable a week ahead. If nobody is home the bag comes back to the shop and you can collect it any day until nine, or book another window at no charge the first time.
We do not leave laundry with a neighbour, at a reception desk or outside a door, however safe the building is. Every bag is handed to somebody.
