We ask to see a driving licence with a motorcycle entitlement and we photograph it, and the photograph is deleted when the machine comes back. No licence, no scooter, and there is no arguing about that one because it is our insurance rather than our rule.

Worth the extra fifty rufiyaa if there are two of you and you are carrying anything: a cool box, snorkelling gear, or a day's shopping from the harbour. It also holds a speed up the one slope on this island without complaining.
