Nothing is paid on this website and we do not ask for card details.

The figure you see is what the job costs when the phone is what we expect it to be. It is an estimate until the back is off and somebody has looked inside, and that is the honest way to put it: a screen that was dropped twice often has a frame behind it that is no longer flat, and nobody can see that from the outside.

So the order is always the same. We open it, we look, and then we ring you with the real figure before any part is fitted. If the real figure is more than you want to spend, we put it back together, charge you the bench fee only, and you take the phone away.

Payment is at the counter when you collect, in cash or by transfer. Your receipt carries the same job number as your booking.

Forty minutes on a counter bench. Out comes the old cell, in goes a new one, and the old one goes on the counter beside your receipt so you can see what came out of your phone.

A battery is the repair people put off longest and regret putting off. The tell is not the percentage: it is a phone that reads thirty and then dies, or one that will not start in the morning until it has been on the charger.

We will not fit a battery to a phone that has been in water without opening it and looking at the board first, because a cell is not the fault in that phone and fitting one only sells you a part. That is a bench diagnosis, and it is a different booking.

The figure covers the models we stock cells for. Anything else is ordered and takes about a week.
