What it costs

⃂ 750.00 Per booking

Nothing is paid on this website and we do not ask for card details.

The figure you see is what the job costs when the phone is what we expect it to be. It is an estimate until the back is off and somebody has looked inside, and that is the honest way to put it: a screen that was dropped twice often has a frame behind it that is no longer flat, and nobody can see that from the outside.

So the order is always the same. We open it, we look, and then we ring you with the real figure before any part is fitted. If the real figure is more than you want to spend, we put it back together, charge you the bench fee only, and you take the phone away.

Payment is at the counter when you collect, in cash or by transfer. Your receipt carries the same job number as your booking.

Ninety minutes on bench three, which is the back bench, because a port and a speaker are soldered and soldering is not counter work.

Most phones that will not charge do not need a port. They need the lint of a year taken out of the one they have, and we will tell you that and charge you the bench fee rather than sell you a part you do not need. It happens perhaps four times in ten.

When a port really has failed, the job is to lift the old one off without lifting the pads underneath it, and that is where a cheap repair goes wrong and becomes an expensive one. We would rather take ninety minutes and do it once.

Same rule as everywhere here: you are told the figure after we have looked, and nothing goes on until you have said yes to it.
