Three refusals, all of which cost us sales and all of which are the reason the drawer works.
We do not copy branded perfumes. We are asked most weeks, usually with a photograph. Beyond the question of borrowing somebody else's name, the honest problem is that those attempts are nearly always disappointing, and the customer blames the shop that promised it.
We do not build a blend on a material we cannot buy again. Travelling traders offer wonderful things in single bottles and we buy them for ourselves rather than for the shelf, because a card that cannot be filled in five years is a broken promise sitting in a drawer.
And we will not blend for somebody who arrives already wearing a strong scent. You cannot judge what we are putting on your wrist and neither can we. Come back another day with clean skin, which is not us being precious; it is the difference between a blend you wear and a blend you regret.
