The last two or three minutes of every lesson are the instructor writing on your record: what you did, what went well and the one thing to work on next.
You can read it. Ask at the office any time and we will print it. It is a short, unflattering document and people find it the most useful thing we give them.
When you ask whether you are ready for the test, the answer comes out of that record rather than out of politeness. Sometimes the answer is not yet and here are the two reasons, and we would rather say that than take the money for a test day that was never going to work.
