Questions we are asked every week
Is there a bikini beach
Yes, two minutes from the door. Thoddoo is an inhabited island, so please cover up in the village and on the way through it. The beach itself is fine.
How do I get to Thoddoo
Speedboat from Malé takes about an hour and a half, and the public ferry takes about four. Tell us which one you are on and we will meet you at the jetty.
Speedboats do not run on every day of the week, so send us your dates before you book flights and we will tell you what is possible.
Do I pay on this website
No. You send us a request, we hold the room and confirm by email, and then a twenty five percent bank transfer confirms it. The rest is paid here when you arrive.
Is alcohol available
No. Thoddoo is an inhabited island and alcohol is not sold or served anywhere on it, including here.
Can you collect us from the airport in Malé
We meet you at the Thoddoo jetty rather than at the airport. Getting from the airport to the right jetty in Malé is the part people find confusing, so write to us and we will send you a page of directions with pictures.
What about children
Children are very welcome. The family room takes four, the island is safe to walk around, and we can put a cot in any room at no charge.
