Thoddoo is somebody's home before it is anybody's holiday, and the difference from a resort is worth knowing before you arrive rather than after.
There is a bikini beach and it is two minutes from our door. Everywhere else on the island, including the walk to the beach, please cover your shoulders and knees. Nobody will be rude to you about it; it is simply how it is.
No alcohol is sold anywhere on the island. If that matters to your holiday, a resort or a liveaboard is the better choice and we will say so honestly if you ask.
The island grows watermelons and papaya, and a bicycle ride through the fields at five in the afternoon is the thing guests remember. Bicycles are free to guests.
There are shops, a health centre, a school and a football pitch. There is no nightlife at all. Most of our guests find the quiet is the point.
