Questions we are asked often

Is this really ladies only

Yes, at every hour we are open. No male stylists, no male staff, and no men in the room. Deliveries are left at the top of the stairs and the delivery man does not come through the door.

The street windows are frosted to head height and there is a curtain behind the door.

Can I bring my son

Under seven, yes, and we will cut his hair while you are in the chair. Past seven, please use one of the barbers on the same road and ask us which ones do a good job.

This is not a judgement about a child. It is the promise the rest of the room is sitting here on.

Do I need an appointment

For a cut, not strictly. Walk in and if a stylist is free you will be seen, and in the first hour of a weekday that is likely.

For colour, highlights or anything on a Thursday or a Saturday, yes. The booking form shows the hours that are actually free, so it is faster than ringing.

How far ahead do colour appointments go

About two weeks, and closer to four before Eid. All the colour is done by one technician who is here three days a week, so those days fill first.

If you need colour and cannot wait, ring us. Somebody cancels most weeks and we keep a list.

What do I pay and when

Nothing on this website. A cut, a blow dry or a treatment is paid here on the day, in cash or by card.

Colour and highlights hold a stylist for hours, so we ask for two hundred rufiyaa by transfer once we have confirmed and take it off the bill.

Why do you insist on a patch test

Because a reaction to hair colour is not something anybody can predict from looking at you, and it happens to people who have coloured for years without trouble.

It takes two minutes at the desk and it is done at least a day before the appointment. We do not do colour without one, and a salon that offers to skip it for you is telling you something about the rest of its work.
