This is a salon for women. There are no male stylists, no male staff and no men in the room at any hour we are open, including deliveries, which are left at the top of the stairs.
The windows on the street side are frosted to head height and the door has a curtain behind it. You can take a scarf off here and sit for three hours without watching the door, which is the whole reason the salon is laid out the way it is.
Boys under seven come in with their mothers for a cut and nobody minds. Past that we will send you to one of the barbers on the same road, and we will tell you which ones are good.
