What it costs

Nothing is paid on this website. There is no card payment here and there never has been. What confirms a room is a transfer of one night to the account we send you, and we email a receipt with our own reference on it the same day the money lands.
The rest is settled at reception when you arrive, in cash or by card. An office booking rooms for staff can have an invoice in the office name instead, carrying whatever reference the office needs, and pay after the stay. Ask for that when you send the dates rather than on the morning you leave, because it is a different piece of paper and it takes us a day.
A room held with no transfer is released after three days. We write to you before it goes, not afterwards.
Tell us the flight number or the boat and somebody will be there. The airport is six minutes away and the harbour is twelve, and it costs nothing whichever one you are arriving at or leaving from.
It says no charge because it is no charge. It is not folded into the room price and it is not a line on your bill at the end. The reason we do it is that the late flight lands after every other door on this street is shut, and a guest standing outside a locked guest house at midnight is a worse problem for us than a driver being awake.
Book the return at the same time. The domestic flights move, sometimes by hours and sometimes the night before, so we watch the one you are on and we will knock earlier if it has been brought forward.
