Nothing is paid on this website and no card details are asked for.

The fee for the appointment is paid at reception when you arrive, in cash or by card. It covers the time with the doctor and nothing else: any test, dressing or medicine is charged separately and only after the doctor has explained it and you have agreed to it.

If you hold health insurance or a scheme entitlement, bring the card and your identity card to reception before the appointment rather than after it, because what can be claimed has to be recorded at the start.

The ordinary appointment. Fifteen minutes with one of the doctors, for one problem you want looked at.

What happens in it: the doctor asks what has been going on, examines you, and explains what they find and what the options are. If a test is needed, they say what it is for and what it costs before it is arranged. If a prescription is right, it is written and explained. If they think the answer is somewhere other than this clinic, they say so and write a letter.

Fifteen minutes is enough for one thing and not for four. If you have a list, book the longer consultation instead. Being asked to come back for a second appointment is nobody's idea of value and we would rather you booked the right length the first time.

The fee is for the appointment. It does not include tests, dressings or medicine, and it is not a promise of any particular treatment.
