Used bikes, taken in part exchange or bought in, from about 12,000 rufiyaa for an older commuter to 40,000 for a recent automatic.
Every one gets stripped enough to see the things that matter and comes with a written sheet. The sheet lists what is good and what is not, and the price already reflects the not. We would rather sell a bike honestly at 16,000 than optimistically at 19,000 and see it back in the workshop in month two with a customer who no longer trusts us.
What we look at, and what you should look at wherever you buy: the frame number against the book, first and always, because a machine whose paperwork does not match is not a bargain at any price. The wiring under the seat and behind the headlight, where salt gets into connectors and produces faults that cost more to chase than the bike is worth. The wheel bearings, by lifting and spinning. The chain and both sprockets, since hooked sprocket teeth mean the chain has been run dry and whatever else was neglected was neglected at the same time. The brake discs for pitting. The fork seals for weeping. And the exhaust and its mounting bolts, which are the honest indicator of how close to the sea this machine has spent its life.
Mileage tells you much less here than people think. A bike does short trips at low speed in salt air, so what ages it is time, weather and whether anybody ever rinsed it. A six year old machine with a caring owner is a far better buy than a three year old one that lived on the seafront and was washed twice.
