Bikes and cars, priced with everything in the number
New and checked used motorcycles, cars, pickups and small vans. Tell us your deposit and the term you want and a person sends the figures back in writing the same day.
Four things we do differently to the shop next door
One price, with the duty already in it
Our board price includes the duty, the clearing, the transport and the registration work. There is no second number at the counter, which is the single most common complaint about buying a vehicle here.
Instalment figures in writing
There is no calculator on this site and that is deliberate. You tell us the deposit and the term, and a person replies the same day with the arithmetic set out line by line. A number on a screen is not an offer.
Every used bike is opened up
Frame number checked against the book, wiring under the seat looked at, chain, sprockets, brake discs and wheel bearings inspected for salt. What we find goes on the ticket, including the bad news.
Serviced where it was sold
Parts on the shelf for what we sell, a wash and rinse habit we will teach you for nothing, and a workshop three doors from the showroom.
Six things you can walk in and ask for
New bikes, checked used bikes, cars and small vans, instalment figures, a trade in valuation, and the servicing that keeps a machine alive twenty metres from the sea.
New motorcycles
The common 125cc automatics from 38,000 rufiyaa, with duty, registration work and the first service in the price.
Used motorcycles, opened up before we list them
From 12,000 rufiyaa, each with a written inspection sheet that includes what is wrong with it.
Cars, pickups and small vans
A small number of carefully chosen used vehicles, with an honest conversation about whether you need one.
Instalment purchases and the figures
You send the deposit and the term, we send the arithmetic back in writing the same working day.
Trade in and part exchange
A valuation on your machine in twenty minutes, with the reasoning written down, and no obligation.
Servicing, parts and salt protection
A routine service from 450 rufiyaa, parts on the shelf, and the rinse habit taught for nothing.
How paying in instalments actually works here
Nothing on this page works out your instalment for you, and there is a reason for that. An instalment purchase involves a financier, a term, a charge, and a decision about you that is theirs and not ours. Any calculator we put on a website would be inventing at least two of those four, and the number it produced would be wrong in exactly the direction that suits us.
So here is the arithmetic you can do yourself, on the back of a receipt, in about a minute.
Take a bike on our floor at 42,000 rufiyaa. Put a third down, which is 14,000, and 28,000 is left to spread. Over eighteen months that is about 1,556 a month. Over twenty four months it is about 1,167. Those two figures are the pure division and nothing else: they are the floor, before any charge a financier adds for lending you the money over that period.
A car works the same way and the numbers simply get bigger. A used hatchback at 210,000 with 63,000 down leaves 147,000, which over thirty six months is about 4,084 a month before charges.
What we will not print is the charge, the rate or the term you will be offered, because we do not set any of them and because a figure typed onto a web page in one month is a misleading promise in the next. What we do instead is answer the enquiry properly. Send us the vehicle, the deposit you have and the number of months you want, and you get back a written breakdown the same working day: the price, your deposit, the balance, the monthly figure at that term, the fees that are ours, and plainly which parts of it are subject to somebody else agreeing.
We have no arrangement with any financier and we take nothing from anyone for an introduction. We will tell you which paperwork they usually ask for so you can walk in ready, and we will never tell you that an approval is certain, because we are not the ones who decide it.
The showroom in numbers
Some of what has left the floor
A fleet of delivery bikes, a first bike bought on instalments, and a used hatchback we priced down after we opened it up.
Six delivery bikes for a food business, bought as a fleet
Identical machines, one service schedule, a shelf of the four parts that fail, and a spare bike so nobody stops working.
A first bike for a family in Hulhumalé, bought on instalments
A written breakdown the same afternoon, a machine held for three days, and a cheaper bike than they came in for.
A used hatchback we priced down after we opened it up
Bought in at 195,000, found two things underneath, sold at 168,000 with the inspection sheet on the windscreen.
What our customers say
They talked me into buying a seventh bike I did not want, as a spare, and worked out on paper what a rider standing still costs me. I have used it six days a month ever since.
I asked about instalments on a Saturday evening and had the whole breakdown in writing that afternoon, including the plain statement that a financier adds a charge they cannot quote. Nobody else answered the question at all.
They put the car on a lift, photographed the underneath and dropped the price by twenty seven thousand because of what they found. First time a showroom here has shown me the part of a car nobody photographs.
The money questions, answered plainly
Do you have a finance calculator on the site?
No, and it is a deliberate choice rather than something missing. A calculator has to assume a charge, a term and an approval, and none of those three are ours to assume. A shop that guesses all of them has produced a number that flatters the shop.
What is on the page instead is the arithmetic you can do yourself. Take the price, take off your deposit, divide what is left by the number of months, and you have the floor. A bike at 42,000 with a third down leaves 28,000, which is about 1,556 a month over eighteen months. Send us the machine, your deposit and the months and a person replies the same working day with the whole breakdown in writing.
How does buying on instalments actually work?
You choose the machine and the term, we send you a written breakdown, and a financier decides whether to lend. We are the shop, not the lender. We do not set the charge, we cannot promise an approval, and we have no arrangement with any financier and take nothing for an introduction.
What we do is set out the price, your deposit, the balance, the plain monthly division at your chosen term, the fees that are genuinely ours, and which parts depend on somebody else agreeing. We will tell you what documents are usually asked for, and we hold the machine for three working days while it is looked at. Nothing is paid to us until the finance is settled, so there is nothing to unwind if the answer is no.
How much deposit will I need?
Plan on somewhere between a quarter and a third of the price, and treat more as better since everything after that gets cheaper.
The financier sets what they require, not us. What we can tell you is the effect: on a bike at 42,000, a third down leaves 28,000 to spread and a quarter down leaves 31,500, which at eighteen months is a difference of about two hundred rufiyaa a month before any charge. If you are close to a round figure, waiting a month to add to the deposit is often worth more than any discount we could give you.
Send us the machine, your deposit and the months
Three facts and you get the whole breakdown in writing the same working day. No visit needed, and nobody will telephone you six times.
Tell us what you are after
A bike, a car, a valuation on the one you have, or a service booking. Every enquiry reaches somebody on the floor and we reply the same working day.
