Every machine has a card in the shop with its last service date on it, and you are welcome to look. Brakes, chain, tyres, lights and the fuel line, every six weeks whether the machine needs it or not.
Salt air destroys a chain and a brake cable faster than mileage does, which is why this is on a calendar rather than on a meter reading.
Anything that fails the check is off the board until it is fixed. That is why we sometimes say no when the shop looks full.
