About a fifth of our students have a connection that will not hold a video class in the evening, and we have built for them rather than apologised to them.
Every live class can be joined in an audio and slides mode that uses a fraction of the data and works on a connection that would drop a video call. You still hear the teacher, see the writing appear, and can ask questions.
Every lesson in the library can be downloaded over a good connection and watched later with no data at all. Students on the weakest connections download a week of lessons at school or at a relative's house on a Friday.
Notes are small files rather than large scans, deliberately, and every worked answer exists as text so it can be read on a phone with almost nothing.
And the help desk will sit with you and test it before you pay for anything. Tell us your island and your evening connection and we will tell you which of these will work for you, including when the honest answer is that none of it will.
