Four hundred guests across a ladies function and a mens function in the same building, both running from seven until eleven, which means two photographers and there is no clever way around it.
One of our lady photographers took the ladies floor for the whole evening and did not leave it. Her kit went in before the guests arrived, because no male member of our team enters a ladies function even to carry a case, and the second camera and spare batteries went in with it rather than being fetched.
The quotation named her, which is how we do it. A family choosing a photographer for a ladies function is entitled to know who is coming rather than finding out at seven o'clock.
We delivered eleven hundred edited photographs in twelve days. Nothing from the ladies function has ever appeared anywhere of ours and it never will, because the permission for that would have to come from each lady in the frame and we did not ask for it. The family have the whole set and the raw files, and what they do with them is theirs to decide.
