Delivery in Malé and Hulhumalé, and consolidated loads to the islands on the scheduled cargo boats.
In Malé, delivery is 150 rufiyaa for up to twenty sheets and we will carry into a lane a lorry cannot enter, which most of our customers' workshops are down. Say on the order which floor it is going to, because two men and eighteen millimetre board up four flights is a different job from a ground floor door.
For the islands we crate sheets rather than strapping them, with battens across the face, because a strapped bundle on a boat deck arrives with the top sheet bowed and the corners crushed. Tell us the island and the week and we will tell you which boat it goes on and what loading costs, and we handle the manifest and the loading note.
Sheets travel flat, covered, and never on edge. If you have ever taken delivery on an island of board that would not lie down afterwards, that is why.
Anything cut to a list is bundled by room and labelled, which costs us nothing and saves a day on an island job where there is nowhere to spread out.
