What it costs
450.00 Per person
The term fee is paid by bank transfer to the account named in the confirmation email, or in cash at the office on any class afternoon. Once the money has arrived we email you a receipt with your enrolment reference on it, and that reference is what the office looks up when you ring.
A second child from the same family pays less, and the office applies that when it confirms rather than asking you to claim it. A family who cannot pay the term fee should write to the office before the term starts. That conversation happens privately with the principal and it is not written on the enrolment record.
The Friday family circle is free and there is nothing to pay at all. Reserve a place so we know how many chairs to put out.
An hour in the classroom three afternoons a week, for twelve weeks. Fourteen children to a class and one teacher, which is the reason the term has to be paid for in advance and the reason there is usually a waiting list.
You reserve a place on a term that already has a start date rather than asking for a time, so the list on the booking page is the real list of intakes. The class runs at the same hour on the same three afternoons for the whole term, and the office tells you which three when it confirms.
The hour is split: about twenty minutes reading aloud one at a time while the rest follow, about twenty minutes on the letters and the rules of recitation as they come up in what is being read, and the last stretch on whatever the class is working through together. A child who is joining us for the first time is heard read for a few minutes by the teacher in the first week, and placed accordingly. Sometimes that means a level below the one a parent expected, and we would rather say so in week one than in week ten.
Ages seven to twelve in these afternoon classes. Younger than that and a child sits with a parent in the family circle on Friday instead, which is free.
