One teacher, fourteen children, and a term paid for in advance because of it.
Written by the teacher every few weeks and printed at the office whenever you ask.
The ladies group and the one to one sessions for women are taught by Ustadha Rifqa.
Classes pause for the prayer and the pause is not taken out of the teaching.
An hour, three afternoons a week, fourteen children and one teacher.
Ninety minutes twice a week, twelve places, nobody pushed to read fast.
Half an hour, you read, a teacher listens and writes it down.
An open hour on Friday afternoon, a parent beside each child.
We follow the published times. The month's timetable is on the board.
A term fee by transfer or in cash, less for a second child, and a private conversation if it is not possible.
My son was put a level below where I had assumed he was, in the first week, and I was annoyed for a day. Two terms later he reads at home without being asked to.
I am forty one and I could not read. Twelve evenings in and nobody in that room had made me feel foolish once.
I asked a teacher a question about practice and she told me straight that it was one for my own scholar. I trusted the centre more after that, not less.
Seven for the afternoon classes, and twelve is the top of them. Under seven, come to the Friday family circle instead, where a parent sits beside the child and there is nothing to pay.
We used to take five year olds into the afternoon hour and stopped. An hour in a class of fourteen is too long for most of them, and an hour beside a parent on Friday does far more.
The teacher hears them read for a few minutes in the first week and places them where they can actually read. It is not a test and nothing is written down about it beyond a line on their record.
Sometimes that is a level below what a parent expected and that conversation happens in week one rather than week ten. A child sitting in a class they cannot follow learns nothing and stops wanting to come, which costs a family a whole term.
Yes. The ladies afternoon group covers the same twelve weeks as the evening class with a female teacher, and it appears on the booking page as its own intake.
Ustadha Rifqa also takes the one to one recitation sessions for women and children, and the form shows only the half hours she is free.
Nothing on this website. You send the request, the office holds the seat for three days and confirms, and then the term fee is paid by bank transfer or in cash at the office.
A receipt with your enrolment reference is emailed once the money arrives. That reference is what the office looks up when you ring, so keep the email.
Yes, and the office applies it when it confirms rather than asking you to claim it. You will see the lower figure on the confirmation.
If the fee is not possible at all this term, write to the office before the term starts. That conversation is private, it is not written on the enrolment record, and places have been kept on that basis every term.
Tell us before the second week of term and the fee comes back in full. After the second week we keep it, because the teacher and the room are committed for the whole twelve weeks whether a child comes or not.
If something has gone wrong rather than simply changed, ring the office before you decide. Often it is the level rather than the class and a child moves and stays.
The afternoon hour fills first and the seats are held for three days. Send the request and the office will confirm the same evening.
