Questions we are asked often
How does my child start?
With one free trial session. No kit, no forms beyond a contact number, and no commitment afterwards.
Tell us their age and which group and we will put them in that week's session. If football is not for them, they can try athletics for a fortnight at no charge.
Is there a trial to get in?
No. Every child who wants to train is welcome, and we do not select at any age below thirteen.
What we do have is a waiting list when a group is full, because we will not put a thirteenth child with a coach. Lists move most often at the start of a term.
What does it cost?
Four hundred and fifty rufiyaa a month for two sessions a week, six hundred and fifty for three, and eight hundred for the oldest group with the strength sessions.
A second child from the same family is a quarter less. Kit is three hundred and fifty rufiyaa once and it lasts a season. Holiday camps are five hundred, or three hundred and fifty for members.
Which group will my child be in?
By age, not by size. A big nine year old is a nine year old, and putting them with twelve year olds teaches them to rely on being big, which stops working at fourteen.
We move children up when they are ready for the training rather than when they are ready for the games, and the coaches decide that together.
Do you coach girls?
Yes. Girls only squads in football at three age bands and one athletics group, coached by our women coaches, with their own training plan and their own fixtures.
Sessions are at five in the afternoon on a screened part of the ground. Parents are welcome to stay, and many do. Fees are the same as the boys programme.
How often should a child train?
Twice a week is plenty up to about ten. Three times is right from eleven, and more than that is usually worse rather than better.
Children who train five days a week at eleven are the ones who stop playing at fourteen. We turn down requests for extra sessions fairly often.
