Children get better at football by touching the ball
Small groups, real coaching, and every child on the pitch for the whole session. Football from six to sixteen, athletics three mornings a week, and a girls only squad in both.
Four things we promise every parent
Twelve children to a coach
Never more. A session of thirty children and one coach is childcare with a ball in it.
Everybody plays the whole session
No child stands at the side because a match is being won. There are no substitutes at foundation age.
Coached, not shouted at
Our coaches are qualified and they teach. If your child is being told what they did wrong and not what to do instead, tell us.
A published plan for the term
You get the term's sessions, the fixtures and the fees on one sheet before it starts.
Age groups, athletics and the extra sessions
Six regular programmes, plus coaching visits and holiday camps.
Football foundation, six to nine
Two sessions a week of small sided games, ball mastery and as many touches as we can fit into an hour.
Football, ten to twelve
Three sessions a week, the start of positions and pattern, and fixtures against other academies.
Football, thirteen to sixteen
Three sessions and a fixture most weeks, with strength work, video review and honest conversations about level.
Athletics: sprints, distance and jumps
Three early mornings a week. Running taught properly, which almost nobody is.
Girls only squads, football and athletics
Their own sessions, their own coach, their own fixtures, at times that suit families.
Goalkeeping and individual coaching
One coach, one or two players, an hour on the thing that is actually holding them back.
This season
Three that were not about winning
A first season in a league, a sprint squad built from a school morning, and a girls team that started with four players.
A first season that we lost most of
Our youngest squad's first season of fixtures: four wins in fourteen, every child played in three positions, and nobody left.
A sprint squad built from a school morning
Eleven children who had never been coached to run, and an average improvement over sixty metres that surprised us.
A girls squad that started with four players
Four girls at the first session, sixty one across the programme two years later, and what actually changed.
What parents say
My son is nine and he touches the ball more in one session here than he did in a month at his old club. Twelve children to a coach is the whole difference and you can see it from the side.
They lost most of that season and my daughter played in three positions and is still playing. The club she was at before picked eleven and the rest of them stopped going.
They spent two evenings with us so we could keep the sessions going after they left. Two years later we still are, and that is the part nobody else offered.
The questions parents ask first
How does my child start?
With one free trial session. No kit, no forms beyond a contact number, and no commitment afterwards.
Tell us their age and which group and we will put them in that week's session. If football is not for them, they can try athletics for a fortnight at no charge.
Is there a trial to get in?
No. Every child who wants to train is welcome, and we do not select at any age below thirteen.
What we do have is a waiting list when a group is full, because we will not put a thirteenth child with a coach. Lists move most often at the start of a term.
What does it cost?
Four hundred and fifty rufiyaa a month for two sessions a week, six hundred and fifty for three, and eight hundred for the oldest group with the strength sessions.
A second child from the same family is a quarter less. Kit is three hundred and fifty rufiyaa once and it lasts a season. Holiday camps are five hundred, or three hundred and fifty for members.
Which group will my child be in?
By age, not by size. A big nine year old is a nine year old, and putting them with twelve year olds teaches them to rely on being big, which stops working at fourteen.
We move children up when they are ready for the training rather than when they are ready for the games, and the coaches decide that together.
Do you coach girls?
Yes. Girls only squads in football at three age bands and one athletics group, coached by our women coaches, with their own training plan and their own fixtures.
Sessions are at five in the afternoon on a screened part of the ground. Parents are welcome to stay, and many do. Fees are the same as the boys programme.
Come to a trial session, free
One session, no commitment, no kit needed. Bring water and something to run in.
Tell us your child's age and what they want to try
We will tell you which group they fit, when it trains and what it costs. Nobody is put in a group by their size.
