Maths is about half of everything we teach, and it is the subject where the gap matters most, because every topic stands on an earlier one.
A student joining a maths group starts with the assessment, and the first few weeks are usually spent somewhere behind their current grade: fractions, negative numbers, rearranging, ratio, or simply reading the question. Parents sometimes find this alarming and it is the fastest route to the current syllabus rather than a detour from it.
After that we work in parallel: the class follows this term's topics while each student keeps a short list of their own repair work, checked weekly.
Homework is set every session and it is short on purpose. Six questions that get marked properly beat forty that get ticked. We mark by hand and we write on it.
Six hundred rufiyaa a month per subject for two sessions a week. Groups are eight and we do not add a ninth.
