The examination year is a different job from ordinary tuition and we run it separately, starting two terms out.
The programme is built around three full practice examinations sat under real conditions: timed, silent, in an unfamiliar room, marked to the actual scheme by a teacher who writes on the script. A student who has never run out of time in a practice will run out of time in the real one.
After each practice, every student gets a written breakdown by topic rather than a total, because a mark of fifty eight tells nobody anything useful. The breakdown drives what they work on next, and it is where most of the improvement comes from.
The last six weeks have a plan of their own, written per student, because this is the period families most often waste on doing every past paper in order.
One thousand two hundred rufiyaa a term per subject, including the practice examinations and the marking. Revision clinics on Friday mornings in examination terms are free to anybody on the programme.
