Everything we collect goes to the island waste management site and is weighed in under our account. Nothing is tipped anywhere else, nothing is burned in the yard and nothing is left on the reclaimed land, and we will show the tickets to anybody who asks.
We keep the weighbridge tickets for two years, which was originally for our own arithmetic and has twice been useful to a customer needing to show where their building waste went.
We are a collection business and not a recycling business, and we would rather say so than imply otherwise. Cardboard is passed on and metal is separated at the yard. Everything else goes to the site.
