Four bays, a booked time, and a job card you take home

A service quoted as a price and a repair quoted honestly. Every measurement in millimetres, every old part in a box, and a telephone call before a single extra rufiyaa is spent.

The bays

Pick the work, the bay and the time

Four bays and three courtesy cars. Nothing is paid on this website.

What you can count on

A card you keep

Every item, every measurement and every figure, written as the work happened.

No invoice surprises

A service is a price. A repair stops for a telephone call before it grows.

Old parts in a box

With your registration on it, on the office counter, without asking.

Bay three until eleven

Held off the diary every morning for somebody who broke down today.

What people say at the office

Booked a nine o'clock bay and drove out at half past ten. I had forgotten a garage could tell you a time and keep it.

A Ahmed Z Hulhumalé

They took all four wheels off and told me my pads had another year in them. I paid the inspection and left. Two other places had quoted me for pads over the telephone.

N Nasreena I Malé

Three vans serviced here every six months. The cards go in our file and the invoice has never once been different from the telephone call.

Before you book

The questions the office answers all day

Why does the form make me pick a bay and a time

Because a bay is the thing there is only four of, and booking it is what lets us say ninety minutes and mean it.

A workshop that simply takes cars in the morning finishes some at nine and some at four and cannot tell anybody which they are. Your confirmation email names the bay that is held for you.

Can I just turn up

For a breakdown, yes, and bay three is kept off the form until eleven every morning for exactly that.

For anything planned, please book. If you arrive without a booking on a full morning we will be honest and tell you to come back, which is better than taking the car in and having it stand until four.

How do I know when the car is ready

Open the link in your confirmation email. It shows pending while we have not yet held a bay, confirmed once the bay and time are yours, and completed once the work is done and the car is ready.

The office also rings you. What the page is really for is the afternoon you are in a meeting and just want to know.

Is the service price the price I pay

Yes. A service is known work and we quote it as a price, not an estimate, for the common engines.

What is not included is anything the service finds. Items marked attend to on the card are quoted separately and never done on the day without a telephone call to you first.

How often should I service a car here

A minor service every six months rather than by distance, and a major service every three years whatever the odometer says.

The book that came with your car was written for a market with cold winters and dry roads. Here the things that go early are brake fluid, bushes, brackets underneath and the air conditioning condenser, and none of those care how far you have driven.

Do I need a major service if the car seems fine

A car that has had five oil changes and no major service usually has two or three items that want attention, and none of them announce themselves until they are expensive.

Spark plugs, brake fluid, coolant and the cabin filter are the usual four. We would rather find them on a card than on a roadside.

Broken down this morning

Ring the office rather than using the form. Bay three is held off the diary until eleven every day for exactly this.
