The cleaning is the straightforward half. The half the owner values is the counting: linen and towels out, linen and towels back, recorded on the sheet, and a photograph of anything broken, stained or missing sent the same morning. In the first three months that reporting found a shower mixer leaking behind a panel and a mattress that had been quietly ruined, both of which would otherwise have been found by a guest.
Four years in, the same two team leaders are on the property and the turnaround takes forty minutes a room rather than the hour it took in the first month.
