Hollow block walls in six inch and four inch, laid to line, with lintels cast in place and openings formed to the joinery schedule rather than to the drawing's nearest hundred millimetres.
Plaster is done in two coats with a scratch between them. We will not render onto block that has been up less than a week if we can help it, because the crack that shows up three months later always follows the line of the hurry.
We measure openings against the doors and windows actually ordered before the frames go in. It is a half day of somebody's time and it has saved several clients the cost of refitting a whole floor of frames.
