DH Dhaiy Dental Rooms Four chairs in Malé, booked chair by chair
About

Two dentists, a hygienist and four chairs

Open since 2017 on the first floor of Fareedhee Magu.

The diary decided everything else

This clinic opened with two chairs and a diary that booked times with a dentist, which is how almost every clinic does it and which went wrong here every week for two years.

Two dentists share three chairs in a session, because a filling that is setting and an injection taking effect both need a chair and not a dentist. So a session holds more dentist time than chair time, and a diary that sells dentist time sells appointments there is no room for.

Turning it round so that the booking form holds a chair fixed the mix ups in a week and gave us two other things for nothing. The website now shows exactly what is free, which sometimes looks thin. And once a chair can be asked for by name, the quiet room at the back became something you tick rather than something you have to explain at the desk.

What we hold to

Nothing agreed in the chair

A plan read lying down with a light in your eyes is not a plan you agreed to.

The quote before the work

If a tooth needs more than expected, we stop and give you the new figure.

We refer rather than stretch

Braces, implants and anything needing a general anaesthetic go elsewhere on day one.
