Nothing is paid on this website and no card details are asked for.

The fee shown is for the appointment: the time in the chair and the dentist looking at your teeth and telling you what they see. It is not payment for a treatment and it does not commit you to one.

Anything the dentist suggests is written down and priced before it is started, on paper you keep, and you are free to say no to all of it and pay only for the appointment. Payment is at reception when you leave, in cash or by card. If you hold dental insurance, bring the card to reception before the appointment rather than after it.

Thirty minutes rather than twenty, because the first ten are for a child to sit in the chair, put it up and down, and decide the room is survivable.

A parent or guardian stays in the room throughout. For a first visit we do not plan to do anything at all beyond looking and counting teeth, and we tell the child that at the start and keep to it. A child who was told nothing would happen and then had something happen does not come back.

Bring the child's card if another dentist has seen them. If treatment is needed, it is written down, priced and booked for another day, so that nobody's first appointment here is also their worst one.
