Conferences, annual days, award nights and staff gatherings, from sixty people in a boardroom to four hundred in a hall.
The technical part is the easy part. The part that goes wrong is the schedule: a chief guest arriving nine minutes early, a speech that runs twelve minutes long, and a video nobody tested on the actual screen. So we build the run sheet with the client's office, rehearse the transitions with the compere, and test every file on the screen it will be shown on.
Registration is ours too, with a printed list and two people on the desk, because a queue at the door is the first thing four hundred people will remember.
