Your night, run by a crew who own the kit
Stage, sound, lighting, decor and a production schedule to the minute. We do not hire our equipment in, so nothing about your evening depends on somebody else's van.
Since 2017
Six kinds of evening, and one way of working
A wedding on a sandbank and an annual day for four hundred staff need the same three things: a schedule, a crew who have done it before, and a plan for rain.
Weddings
From a sixty guest reception at home to four hundred on a sandbank, including the parts nobody thinks about until the afternoon.
Corporate conferences and annual days
Registration, staging, screens, microphones that work, and a run sheet the chief guest's office can read.
Openings and product launches
A shop opening, a new office or a boat naming, planned around the street it happens on.
School and college events
Prize nights, annual days and graduations, for audiences that arrive all at once and include grandparents.
Stage, sound and lighting hire
Our own kit, with our own crew, for an event somebody else is running.
Decor and flowers
Backdrops, drapes, table settings and fresh flowers ordered to arrive the morning of, not the day before.
Recent events
Four hundred staff in a hall, ninety guests on a sandbank, a street closed for a launch, and eleven hundred parents at a prize night.
An annual day for four hundred staff
Registration, awards, dinner and a band, all inside four hours, with the chief guest arriving nine minutes early.
A wedding on a sandbank for ninety guests
Two boats, a generator, a tide table and a hard finish at nine o'clock, because the bank goes under.
A street launch for a new shop
A shop opening with part of the street closed, built in seventy minutes and struck in forty.
Four things that are always ours, never hired
Stage, sound and lights
Our own trussing, line array, desks and moving heads, serviced between jobs in our own store.
A schedule to the minute
Printed for every supplier and every member of the crew, and rehearsed before the guests arrive.
A crew who have done it
Eleven people on the books, plus the same freelancers every time. Nobody learns on your night.
A plan for rain
Every outdoor event is quoted with a wet option and a time by which we have to call it.
What clients said the next morning
Our chief guest turned up nine minutes early and nothing went wrong. That is the whole review. They had already rehearsed the thirty awards with the compere.
They built a stage in a working street in seventy minutes and took it down in forty, and both neighbours had the production manager's number before the day. No complaints to the council at all.
They told us in February that the evening had to end at nine because of the tide, and they wrote it down. Everybody who has been to a sandbank wedding that went wrong knows why that mattered.
What people ask before they book
How far ahead should we book?
For a wedding, four to six months, and longer if your date is in the popular weeks after Ramadan. For a conference or a school night, six weeks is usually enough.
We hold a date for seven days on a conversation, and after that it needs the deposit, because somebody else will ask for the same Friday.
What does a quotation include?
Everything we are bringing, priced in groups: staging, sound, lighting, decor, crew and transport. Anything we would have to hire in is shown separately and named.
For an outdoor event the wet option is priced as its own line, so you can see what it costs to be safe rather than being surprised by it later.
How do we pay?
Half on booking to hold the date and the crew, and the rest on the day before the event. Transfer or cash, and the receipt is emailed the same day.
School committees can pay the second half after the event. Nobody has ever let us down on that and we are not going to change it because somebody might.
Tell us the date and the number of people
That is enough for a real figure. We will send you a quotation with the wet option priced separately so you can see what it costs to be safe.
Start with the date
The date, roughly how many people, and where you are thinking of. We will come back the same day with what is possible.
