Twenty five minutes on paper, fifteen minutes talking to an assessor, then your level. There is no charge and no obligation to enrol afterwards.
The talking half decides most cases. People commonly write well above where they speak, because that is what school taught, and placing somebody by their paper leaves them silent for twelve weeks. The fifteen minutes are unhurried and nobody is timed on an answer.
You hear the level on the day with the reasoning. If you are between two levels you are told which way we would go and why, and the choice is yours. If the course you asked about needs something you do not have yet, we will say so rather than take the fee.
