Three hours a week for ten weeks, sixteen to a class, and it is a speaking course rather than a reading one. Reading the script is assumed, and the placement test will tell you honestly if you are not there yet.
Introductions, families, work, directions, shopping, travelling, being unwell, and a long stretch on asking questions, which is where people who have read for years find out they cannot hold up their end of a conversation.
Homework is spoken: a recording to the teacher, corrected, sent back. This is a language course. It is not religious studies, it does not teach recitation, and no teacher here will answer a question of religious practice.
