Certificates, and how somebody checks one

A reference and a link on the certificate. No public register to search.

A certificate goes to a student who attended at least eighty percent of the hours and passed the end of course assessment. It carries the course, the level, the dates, the hours, and a reference.

Checking one works like this and only like this. The certificate carries a reference and a link, and whoever you show it to can open that page and see the same course, dates and hours the certificate states. Nothing else is on that page: no address, no marks, no other courses.

There is no public register anybody can search by name, no code to scan and nothing an employer can plug into a system. That is deliberate. A searchable list of our students is a list we would be handing to anybody who asked, and an employer who needs to verify a certificate has the link on the document in front of them.

If the link will not open, ring the office. We will confirm to the person holding the certificate that we issued it, and we will not discuss a student with anybody who is not holding one.
