We write contracts and we read contracts, and we would rather be asked to do the first than the second.
A good contract for a Maldivian business is usually short and specific: who does what, by when, for how much, who pays for a boat that does not sail, and what happens when somebody wants to stop. A template downloaded from abroad tends to be long, silent on all five, and governed by the law of somewhere else.
If you send us something to sign, you will get it back marked up with a note at the top saying which three clauses actually matter and whether we would sign it ourselves.
