We book full containers of twenty and forty feet, and loose cargo by the cubic metre, from the ports most Maldivian importers buy from.
The number that decides a sea shipment is not the freight rate, it is the transit and the calling pattern. Some routes into Male are direct and some transship through a regional hub, which adds between eight and eighteen days. We will show you both options with the dates written down, because a cheaper booking that lands three weeks later is not cheaper if your season has started.
For loose cargo we consolidate in the origin port, so a customer with four pallets is not paying for a container. That consolidation waits for a load, which is the honest trade off: a little slower, considerably cheaper.
Everything we book is quoted with the local charges included. A quotation from us has no second page of fees at the other end.
