From the ship to the island, on one set of paperwork
We book the freight, clear it at the port or the airport, hold it in our shed if you need us to, and put it on the boat to your island. One file, one number to ring, one invoice.
Four things that decide whether a shipment is easy
The papers checked before the ship sails
We read your invoice and packing list at booking, not at clearance. Most delays at the port were built in weeks earlier.
Cleared in two to four working days
That is our own average on a complete file. An incomplete file takes as long as it takes to fix, and we will tell you which document is missing.
A shed you can leave it in
Nine hundred square metres in Male. Cleared cargo can sit with us while you wait for the boat to your island.
Onward to the atolls
We load to the scheduled cargo boats and we know which day each route sails, which is half the job on an island order.
Sea, air, customs and the last leg
Six services that most of our customers use together, and two that stand on their own.
Sea freight into Male
Full containers and loose cargo from the usual Asian and Gulf ports, booked on the sailings that actually call here.
Air freight and urgent cargo
For the part that cannot wait for a ship. Booked by weight or volume, whichever the airline charges on.
Customs clearance and duty
Declarations at the port and the airport, duty worked out before the cargo lands, and somebody standing there when it does.
Warehousing and consolidation in Male
Nine hundred square metres of dry shed, so cleared cargo can wait for the boat instead of for you.
Onward cargo to the atolls
Loading to the scheduled cargo boats, with the manifest and the loading note done, and a name at the other end.
Project cargo and heavy lifts
Generators, plant, boats and anything that will not go through a normal door. Surveyed first, moved once.
Last year, in numbers
Recent jobs
A resort refit, a school consignment and a plant room that had to fly. Different cargo, same file.
A resort refit landed in eight planned loads
Furniture, sanitary ware and plant for forty two villas, sequenced so the island never held more than one week of cargo.
School furniture for four islands on one manifest
Six hundred desks and chairs cleared as one import and split four ways at our shed, saving three separate clearances.
A chiller plant that had to fly
A failed compressor on a desalination plant, replaced from order to running in nine days including clearance.
What our customers say
Eleven suppliers, four countries, one opening date. They turned it into eight weekly loads and told us on the day when a supplier missed a sailing instead of at the end of the month.
Six hundred desks came in as one import and left as four island loads. We paid one clearance instead of four and everything was in the schools before term.
They gave me the duty figure before the container sailed and it came within a few per cent. That is the number that decides whether an order is worth placing.
The questions importers ask first
What do you need from me to quote a shipment?
The commercial invoice, the packing list, the port it is leaving from and the island it is going to.
With those four we can quote the freight, estimate the duty and tell you the transit. Without the invoice we can only quote the freight, which is the smaller half of what a shipment costs.
How long does a sea shipment take?
From most Asian ports, between eighteen and thirty five days to Male, depending on whether the sailing is direct or transships at a regional hub.
We quote both where both exist, with the dates written down. Add two to four working days for clearance on a complete file, then the sailing day for your island.
Can I ship less than a container?
Yes. Loose cargo is charged by the cubic metre or the tonne, whichever is greater, and we consolidate it with other customers at the origin port.
Consolidation waits for a load, so it is usually a week or so slower than a container of your own. For anything under about fifteen cubic metres it is still much cheaper.
Do you handle the whole job or only part of it?
Either. Plenty of customers book their own freight and use us only to clear and deliver, and that is a perfectly sensible arrangement.
Where we do the whole job you get one file and one invoice, and there is nobody to blame at the handover, which is worth something on a shipment that goes wrong.
Who we move cargo for
Send us the invoice and the packing list
That is enough for a real quotation, including the duty estimate. We come back the same working day.
Tell us what is coming and where it is going
The port of loading, the weight, the volume and the island. Four facts and we can price it.
