When a doctor here orders blood work, the sample is taken in the treatment room and goes across the bridge to a laboratory the same morning. Results come back to the clinic, usually within a day, and the doctor rings you to explain them.
You are told what the test is for and what it costs before it is taken. Results are explained by a doctor in person or on the phone, not sent to you as a sheet of numbers to interpret alone.
We have no imaging here. If a scan or an image is needed you are sent to a hospital with a letter.
